Viktor Bene's has been baking breads and pastries for over 75 years. After immigrating from Czechoslovakia in 1920 he settled in the Chicago area where he opened his first bakery. In 1946 he sold his bakery and moved to southern California, where he cultivated his reputation as one of Los Angeles' finest bakers. Quality was always the first ingredient. Sweet creamy butter, fresh whole eggs and no preservatives! In 1973 he retired and sold his thriving business to two enterprising Italian bakers, Ugo Mamolo and Ruggero Terzuolo. Today, Viktor Benes Continental Pastries continues its Success by baking and preparing only the highest quality breads and pastries using all natural ingredients.
