Captain Cartoon Caricatures
www.captcartoon.com Here's what happens at a Captain Cartoon party Every party and event comes with its own personality, and South Florida entertainer Captain Cartoon's approach is one of versatility and flexibility in his endeavor to provide wholesome, fun-filled memories for all! Black & white drawings for speed Need for Speed: At company picnics, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, business promotions and large scale events, the Captain will draw in black & white (with shading highlights). Unless requested otherwise, the Captain draws head & shoulders faces (no figures) at these larger events. This assures that the greatest number of people will get caricatures. Captain Cartoon can draw 12-15 black & white face caricatures per hour. Captain Cartoon uses color Smaller events -- or those by pre-arrangement -- allow Captain Cartoon to use full color -- and full figures. An all-girl birthday party will yield a bevy of princesses, butterfly queens, rock stars and cheerleaders. A boy's party might result in superheroes, sports figures -- and sometimes -- gangstas. One party featured an anime theme, and the Captain drew in the popular Manga style, to the delight of the young guests. The Captain tends to throw in a caricature or two after the allotted time in exchange for a piece of birthday cake :-) The Captain draws folks of all ages At one recent housewarming party he caricatured couples (two people per page) in full color, with semi-humorous caricatures that nearly brought down the house. Appearing at a nursing home, the Captain drew the 85-plus year-old guests wrinkle-free -- and throughout the night was surrounded by beautiful, white-haired ladies who recognized themselves in these "fountain of youth" portrait caricatures. Birthday parties as arts & crafts sessions One unique birthday party became a "learn-to-draw" session, with Captain Cartoon teaching the kids how to draw. Most recently the Captain was hired to teach several classes the art of caricature, and the fun became even "funner" when the kids drew caricatures of each other. Another party became a coloring fest when the Captain drew the kids as whatever they chose to be (in black & white) and the hostess photocopied each drawing for the kids to color. Posters of the party guests At one "pirate-themed" birthday bash, the Captain drew thumbnails of each party guest on a piece of posterboard which the hostess kept as a memento. Guests still received regular caricatures. Family caricature poster Captain Cartoon has frequently drawn a "grand finale" poster for the hosting family, drawing as many as 7 people on a single sheet suitable for framing. The sky's the limit, and you can be "all you can be" with a Captain Cartoon caricature! Free Captain Cartoon Coloring Book The Captain also produces premium coloring books, and hands out free copies to happy kids at parties and events. Bio: Captain Cartoon's works have been published by CAR-Toons magazine, the L.A. Times Syndicate, Tribune Media Services, Inc., appearing in the New York Daily News, Orange County Register, Minneapolis Star -- and even the Hong Kong English Daily newspaper as well as the Bangkok, Thailand Post. In 1994 the Captain appeared on the John & Leeza Show, presenting the entertainment show's hosts a personalized caricature. From 2000-2004 Captain Cartoon published the humor/satire Cracked magazine.
