Located in Jefferson County, Balloons Over The Rainbow flies Jefferson, St. Louis, St. Charles, and other surrounding counties, including those bordering in Illinois. The pilots involved in Balloons Over The Rainbow have been flying for well over 15 years each. Each individual pilot must have an impeccable safety record to fly with us. This company was started in order to ensure that anyone who wishes, has the ability to experience lighter then air flight in the grandest tradition of the Montgolfier brothers. We do want to warn you though, Ballooning is addictive. Most pilots got involved in ballooning through a simple balloon ride. Honestly, we hope you will do the same, come along with us on an adventure that will last a lifetime.
When Do We Fly? Balloons Over The Rainbow excursions typically launch from local parks and other private launch sites. Our launch times are typically at Sunrise, or about 2 1/2 hours prior to sunset. Plan on a 3 to 4 hour adventure that you will be telling your friends about for years to come.
While we do fly 7 days a week, year round, the majority of our flights occur during the spring, summer and fall months. St. Louis weather just gets to unpredictable sometimes in the winter. Please be aware though that our weekend flights tend to fill up very quickly from April through September, so please plan accordingly when scheduling. We recommend making your reservations early in order to ensure your desired date and time.
Please keep in mind that due to weather, it is impossible for us to guarantee that you will be able to fly on a specific day and time. When a reservation is made though, it reserves that flight window for you so that if we do fly at that time, you will be with us. Don't worry if we don't get to fly at that time and on that day, if weather forces a cancellation, we will reschedule your flight for another time. Unlike many of our competitors, our gift certificates and reservations do not expire and are fully transferable as long as we stay in touch. Please see our policy page for rules governing gift certificates, and transfers. Last minute bookings may or may not be able to be accommodated so please plan accordingly. Remember that all flights are weather permitting and at the pilot in commands discretion.
