Planning a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or a wedding? Mazeltov! We’d love to help you celebrate. Imagine your perfect party. What is it like?

We perform klezmer, Yiddish, Israeli and Russian music, and swing, standards, jazz, rock’n’roll, Motown and Broadway — all at a volume where guests can speak comfortably. We alternate warm, inclusive folk dancing with great American dance sets, and offer hilarious and creative games leading, too.

We work closely with you to create a party that is meaningful, joyous and fun.

Weddings
Preparing for a wedding should be a joyful event in itself, and we try to help uncomplicate things. We can review the ceremony, and a wide array of traditions and options.

We will suggest music for your processional and recessionals, and perform it for you. (Never, ever be satisfied with song lists!) We’ll also be happy to suggest music for your first dance, and teach you how to do it — and other basic steps as well.

Our musicians: We offer an ensemble of Conservatory-trained musicians ranging from three to eight pieces.

Game leading at our parties is a hilarious and involving experience. Our game leader, who is also a middle school choral director, is funny, witty, creative and energetic — and treats kids as kids! He’ll do a Hamlet/Ophelia version of Coke and Pepsi, Musical chairs to the Theory of Relativity, a flexible swimming-noodle Limbo (with contemporary music, of course)…and the inspiration of the day. Dan not only engages the kids, but also keeps the adults — and musicians — laughing! We also work with DJ’s, including our own, if you like.

In advance of the party, we’ll help you organize and plan a sequence of events, offer tips for dealing with caterers and other providers and suggestions for incorporating tzedakah into your celebration. We’ll plan special songs for special people in your lives (and gladly taking requests at your party).We’ll also be glad to teach you and your family some basic dance steps, so that you can come onto the dance floor with extra confidence!
