Acoustic Flight Dance Band

Due to the response we are getting for the dance band - Acoustic Flight- I am setting up this separate page and will be adding material as I have the time. I plan on providing a list of our tunes, a sample set listing for dances - both for wedding receptions and corporate/private functions with a mixed list of tunes - as well as for a pure 'swing jazz' dance. We are able to accommodate may different requests due to the ***-plus tunes in our main library. You will get a flavour of the variety from these lists and I am always happy to take special requests for tunes if I can find a chart for the band. Events frequently include guest from young to not-so-young with their inherently diverse musical interests. We do our best to please all musical tastes.

Acoustic Flight consists of * horns and * rhythm along with a female vocalist. We have * saxes, * trumpet, * trombone, guitar, piano, bass and drums and can add a second trumpet for specific events. We provide our own sound system so we simply require sufficient space to set up. As part of our fee, I do a site visit to speak with the venues' event coordinator and ensure that they are prepared for where the band will set up. We are aware of the timing pressures during wedding receptions, corporate functions and gala events and will accommodate the various issues that may arise.

The musicians in the band have been performing in many different formats and groups for years. Acoustic Flight also lends to the other jazz formats that I have available - East Side Trio/Quartet/Quintet. As you will see on The Jazz Page we perform regularly in the smaller group formats. In fact, if you would like live trio jazz during your dinner with Acoustic Flight playing for the dance after dinner, we can provide your live music all night long.
