What is a vibraphone?

A Vibraphone is is similar in appearance to the xylophone and marimba, although the vibraphone uses aluminum bars instead of wooden bars. The metal bars allow the vibraphone to produce a wide variety of sounds from clean and pure to atmospheric and spacey.
