Before 1986, the closest thing to an Astro Jump® Party in California was a waterbed in a room full of unsupervised children. Our company was started in May 1986 in a beach shack on Coronado Island near San Diego, California. The founders, 24 year old college pals, drove West from the Deep South with a single Astro Jump® and a business plan to simply make enough money to survive for the summer. By August Astro Jump® was fast becoming a real business. These fellows bought shoes, got haircuts and set out to create the best birthday party business Californians would ever see.
Today Astro Events® is known nationally as a leader in the children's entertainment business. Each of our offices is locally owned by the people who answer the phones, deliver to parties and participate in the creation of our latest designs. We all share the name Astro Events® and our common goal is to bring you “The Easiest Party Ever”, whether it's a backyard birthday for 10, or a Carnival attended by 1000s.
Deliver & Set Up
ASTRO EVENTS's® Courteous drivers will deliver and set up each ASTRO JUMP® and insure that it is clean and in good working condition well before your party starts and come back to take it down after the party is over. Set up normally takes about 10-15 minutes, and take down is about 15-20 minutes. This service is included in your rental cost.
The safest surface is a level grassy area. However, we can set up on concrete, asphalt, or bark. Please specify when ordering which surface we will be setting up on and we will make sure we utilize the proper anchors for your event.
You should have an area about 15'x15' with a vertical clearance of about 15 '-22'. When you call to reserve your ASTRO JUMP®, we will let you know the dimensions for the particular shape you will be renting.
Our ASTRO JUMPS® are constructed to be as safe as possible. As with any activity involving small children, an adult should supervise the activity. This will help to insure that the few simple rules continue to be followed and that someone is always there to assist children entering and exiting the ASTRO JUMP®. All of our ASTRO JUMPS® are covered for weather protection (direct sun & light rain) and they have netting on all four sides to allow for great visibility and air circulation.
