Shermie on The Piano

Shermie has been playing piano since he was 8 years old and studied piano under Mrs. Florence Gustafson of Kansas City, Kansas, who performed with Liberace at music workshops throughout the US. Shermie started piano March 1970 and credits his father for his success by assuring he practiced his piano daily. Shermie Wiehe has more than 30 years of professional experience. His beautiful style of piano playing will create a great atmosphere for your next party. This Kansas born piano player performs songs from 30's to the 90's, show tunes, popular, cha-cha, modern, polka, easy listening, country music, western, pop, boogie, jazz, ragtime and dance. He provided piano entertainment at the Old Timer Restaurant from 1997 to 2005, Clinton, MA. After moving to Colorado Springs, Shermie now performs at Golden Bee Wednesday nights, 8:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Broadmoor Hotel (a 700-room, 3,000-acre hotel and resort is one of the few in the nation that holds five-star and five-diamond ratings from two leading travel industry publications) along with playing for private parties and corporate functions throughout Colorado Springs area. Shermie has played for many dignitaries throughout his career (foreign presidents of Micronesia, US Senators, US Generals), along with having many of his own bands and performing overseas for 23 years.
