About Amy
Amy can't remember any time during her life when she wasn't listening to or playing music!.

Since moving to Houston, Amy has been playing music in various settings throughout the area. She's played in bands, both as a keyboardist and singer. Some of these groups have included "Mother Superior and the Bad Habits"; "Billie Ledbetter Orchestra"; "Sax Appeal" and "Inner Vision". Some of the establishments Amy has appeared in read like a "Who's Who" of Houston entertainment sites: The Mucky Duck; Java Java in the Heights; Gantrys(Ramada Inn); Swiss Chalet; Perry's Grill (Woodlands) Bistro Vino; Wyndam Warwick; Seabrook Beach Club; The Mercury Room; The Turtle Club; Rookies; The Firehouse; The Hop; Landry's (Kemah Boardwalk); Woodlands Country Club; Keys West; Brother's Petronella; The Briarpatch; The Vintage Bar; The Downtown Aquarium; Resas Steakhouse; Goode Company Seafood; Pappas Steakhouse; Timberwolf; Sams Boat; Forget about it; Martini's and More and The Laff Stop Comedy Club with the late Tiny Tim.

Amy appeared on Pat and Rosie Nightsounds several times (KPFT 90.1) with Myrna Sanders, playing her original music.

Compared often to Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Carly Simon and Sarah McLachlan, Amy stays true to her "folk rock" roots when writing original music. Although classically trained, both on piano and voice, Amy has always had a unique piano style and pure vocal sound.
She has a degree in Music Education from the University of Houston and has been teaching piano, voice, guitar and songwriting since she moved to Houston

Professional Memberships include, MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) PEG (Piano Entertainers Guild), MWI (Music Woman International) Bayou City Federation Music Club, NASI ( National Songwriters Association).

In the year 2000, she recorded, "My Grown up Christmas List" with PEG (Piano Entertainers Guild) to benefit the Musicians Benevolent Society, with a CD release event at Ovations in 2000. She appeared on the Ernie Menus Christmas Show, December, 2000. She is currently working with Sandy Williams as the "Dynamic Duo", Martin Shotwell and several other Singer/Songwriters in town. For the past 4 years she has played for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center of Houston for the National Day of Prayer. She has served as Pianist/Music Director for the Unity Church of the Bay Area and First Church of Religious Science, Director of Music at Memorial Drive Lutheran Church for the "Connections Contemporary Service" in 2004-05.

She was the pianist/ musical director for the summer theater workshops at School of the Woods (2003-2005) including productions of: "Compose Yourself,", The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf" , Grapevine Connection, The Glass Slipper" and "Hey George"

I enjoy performing just as much as I enjoy teaching. I do solo engagements as well as appearing with my friends in bands around the Houston area.
