The Outriggers Dance Band
For your dancing pleasure, you can finish the evening dancing to the beat of your favourite classic rock and roll songs, rhythm and blues, Motown, waltzes, and polka. The band consists of four musicians.
You will enjoy seeing the strikingly colourful authentic costumes representing each tropical island from Tahitian grass skirts, eye-catching Tahitian hats to dazzling, shimmering hula skirts. The rhythmic sounds and sights of feather-topped coconuts, split bamboo, and Maori poi balls add to the tropical atmosphere.
FOR THE ULTIMATE POLYNESIAN EXTRAVAGANZA
We can provide as many as six hula dancers, and a male dancer (fierce Fijian Spear Dance/Maori Haka, and/or Tahitian Tamure/Otea), plus or Tahitian fire eater and knife dancer.
FOR A SPECTACULAR TAPED SHOW
Three beautiful Polynesian dancers will perform to taped music.
For an additional fee up to three more dancers, a male dancer (fierce Fijian Spear Dance/Maori Haka, and/or Tahitian Tamure/Otea), plus or Tahitian fire eater and knife dancer are available as well.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
The fun filled 'Audience Participation' is a must for every Polynesian show--a lesson on how to do the tamure of Tahiti and a chance to dance with a beautiful Vahine to the Tahitian Drums to learn the Hawaiian Hula. At the end, a flower or shell lei will be given to the best audience dancer.
FIRE EATER & KNIFE DANCER
A Polynesian show can not be without a 'fire-eater and knife dancer' to top off the evening. Right from the shores of Moorea, Tahiti, our exciting and spellbinding, Chief Hiro (with nothing on, but a loin cloth) will dazzle you with his fires.
