The Surf Kings
The Surf Kings create an exciting beach party atmosphere with smokin' surf/hot rod hits from the Beach Boys, The Chantays, The Surfaris, Jan & Dean, The Ventures, and others. The Surf Kings take you back to the rock of the 50's with chart busters from Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Little Richard, Chubby Checker, etc. You'll relive the 60's with cookin' Rock, Soul, Rythm & Blues from Sam Cook, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Jr. Walker, The Beatles, The Coasters, Del Shanon, etc. Dance to classics from the early 70's by Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone, James Taylor and others.

Sax, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums make up this five piece, all male band. The Surf Kings faithfully recreate the original sound of the "Do-Wopp" vocal groups and layered Beach Boys harmonies featuring three to four part vocal arrangements. One or two female vocalists can be added as an option, enhancing the band's repertoire with tunes by Aretha Franklin, Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, Doris Troy, and others.

For cocktails and dinner before dancing, the band is also capable of playing as a quiet backdrop to conversation. This set will include mellow "period pieces" as well as traditional swing and Latin standards.

The Surf Kings was formed in 1986 and has established itself as one of the premier party bands in the Southern California region catering exclusively to corporate and private parties. The Surf Kings have performed for a wide range of individual and corporate clients including Fujitsu, Kodak, The Salk Institute, Kelloggs, IBM, American Airlines, Arco, Toyota, GM Motors, and many, many others.
